Work online on Office documents with Nextcloud Office (Collabora)
To open a document with Nextcloud Office, click on the document name in the folder overview of the bwSync&Share folder. The corresponding file is then opened with Nextcloud Office. f you want to open the document in a new tab, click on the "Ctrl" key and the name of the document at the same time.
The documentation with detailed usage descriptions can be found on the (german-language Collabora help website.)
If you want to use the Office program installed on your desktop computer from your web browser, click on the three dots to the right of the document name and select "Download". To do this, you need to have the latest version of the Nextcloud desktop client installed on your computer.
The use of bwSync&Share with the client does not change due to the conversion of the online editor.
If two or more users open a document with MS Office Online at the same time, they all work together in the open file. All participants in the session can see the names and changes of the other users.
If the document is being edited locally by another user at the same time, this version will not contain the changes made in the online editor during this time.
In this case, the changes that were last saved or uploaded via synchronization overwrite the changes made by the other users.
